It is a special terroir. Surrounded by primary forest, it receives sun only in the mornings because it is next to one of the peaks of the Volcán Barú. The coffee grows within cultivated shade, including Higuerilla, Guavo, Aguacatillos, and Palomo, at a 60% coverage.
